just saw beautiful bright red dragonfly on remnant of old archway in the backyard. don’t remember ever seeing one like that here. a small gem – a flying treasure for you to enjoy.

just saw a dove on the patio fountain. they like to drink from top layer. saw another bird dunk itself in the bottom pool, then stand under a stream for a ‘shower.’ have never seen that before & were delighted with the show.

constantly surprised by the quiet persistence of plants. seem to bide their time & reappear years after they vanished. lesson in patience there, dear one.

fun watching family of squirrels in bare trees. very entertaining little acrobats – catch breath at some of their maneuvers.

have always felt tenderness toward the earth. remember joy of seeing home movie of you as very small child holding armful of flowers & smiling at the camera. felt like verification of life’s work, a cause you were literally born to pursue. resulting beauty is a lovely bonus.

just rescued a tiny frog trapped on porch & put it out on the patio. cooperative little critter: didn’t try to get away. lesson there somewhere. maybe about resistance…  at some point you’ll let this struggle go. it can’t arrive too soon. who knows: maybe you’ll be rescued like the little frog!
