told group of friends you have ‘seasonal exuberance disorder’ & told story of putting up tree & lights years ago even though you weren’t going to be home for Christmas. truly a labor of love that year & an homage to Mom, who loved the season, too. she was open & generous: a beautiful soul.

 Dominant Hand: It’s certainly hard to celebrate the current state of the country.

truly sad & much damage being done. hard to imagine people coming together for common cause: not sure what that would even be. all seems greed & fear-based. no wonder friends withdraw, don’t watch/listen to news. but feel you owe those who sacrificed & died for the U.S. to at least keep informed as a way to honor them.
