after writing about the recent death of the son of my friend Gerry, from whom I inherited my little dog Mattie:

you’ve persevered despite fear many times. doing it now: not an easy time to be labeled ‘vulnerable.’ always helps to do something for someone else. can think of 3 possibilities. go with ones where you feel the strongest nudges: angel encouragement. and don’t forget yourself!

can feel yourself hunkering down & don’t like it. good! sad way to live, as you well know. looking for ways to be generous to yourself & others helps break the lack cycle, shifts perspective.

family members are an odd couple after being at loggerheads most of their lives. best to be happy for them & leave it at that. idea of competing is ludicrous & petulance is useless. rising above is kindest & allows for self-satisfaction. just beware of smugness on your part. rise above that, too. practice floating! much more fun than pouting.
