you told her that this [alternate handwriting] practice is the one thing in your life you’re most sure of, that you trust completely. feel sometimes that when you go blank in this [writing with my non-dominant hand] part of it, which isn’t frequent but does happen, you’re getting to the most powerful part. gives your mind a rest – deep meditation — & then you almost feel thoughts forming. always involves listening to the inner voice that’s so different than the frenetic one you often hear. calm & compassionate: no fretting allowed or even necessary. don’t feel you’re stopping worry: more that it’s irrelevant, not in consciousness. this is grace, dear one, & you welcome it with the gratitude & humility it merits.
